Left side cover removal

No problem Younggun. Its pretty lax here. Cormanus and Ferret rarely have to fly in to “take care of business” if you get my drift.

It's now even weirder because I've moved the posts and edited them slightly. But, at least they're in the right place.

Can someone help me with the left side cover removal? I have the gasket released but the cover comes off about 1/4" and stops. It feels like there is something in there not allowing it to fully release. Should I keep pulling or is there something I'm missing? The electrical wire that goes in the top isn't the issue. Also does anyone have the torque values for the cover bolts?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

In one of these threads on the old forum someone mentioned there are 3 tabs on the alternator cover to help pry it away from engine case .... I can't find the darn thread now but THANK YOU to whomever it was.   I took a pic of the tabs (blue tape stuck behind each to better see the little guys).
