Wingman, I had the pleasure of picking up an '83 Nighthawk new from Trail West Honda in Dallas when I was just a lad. With the low seat height and weight, sweet new-generation 650 mill, modern twin discs up front with anti-dive and low maintenance (hydraulic valves and shaft drive) that bike was perfect for me at the time. Didn't hurt that it was so pretty, either.
My buddy rode a 750L, so I can definitely relate to the pair you two ride now.
It's the awesomeness of the new CB11 that brought me back into the Honda store after all this time. I'm loving it.
