Bar End & Internal Weight Removal
#1
I stumbled across this procedure, had not seen it before, and thought I would pass it on. Most procedures I have seen for bar end and internal weight removal talk about left grip removal to access the retaining clip release holes in order to remove the internal weight. The right ( throttle ) side only requires taking off the switch housing to slide the grip/throttle tube off, and access the clip release holes. This guy has figured out that it is possible to roll the left side grip rubber back on itself, just enough to get at the clip release holes, without removing the grip. I think if I was going to try it, I would soften and expand the rubber first by heating it with a hair dryer. I dont think it would work with old hard rubber grips. Link attached to the showing the procedure. http://www.manicsalamander.com/media/519...emoval.pdf
