Only two niggling points regarding my CB1100A...
1. tired wrists
2. disgusting silver side covers

Since I don't see the side covers when riding, seems the wrist thing would be better taken care of first. I have 1" risers on now. The bars are still a couple inches too low. Has anyone swapped stock bars for aftermarket to bring them up about 3-4 inches? If so, was there enough throttle cable and clutch/brake cable? Don't much like to ride with weight on my wrists except when in go-fast mode where I don't notice.

On the stock seat, 50 miles was getting painful. Sliding onto the tank and a screaming tailbone really diminished the fun of riding my CB1100A! $400 plus shipping and a month of waiting and my new Corbin seat arrives. First day I had a chance to ride it I was able to ride over 8 hours with NO PAIN.

Foliks asked me to post a couple pics after the seat was put on so after drinking an A&W root beer at the general store in Rio Medina, took a couple and they are posted below:

  Vetter fairing anyone?

Came across this local to me. I know someone out there was thinking about it and the price to try seems reasonable.

  CB Sighting in Indiana

I was coming home from work yesterday late afternoon and I saw a red 2013 CB1100 on highway 2 in NW Indiana and just wondering if it was anyone on our sight.

  Automatic chain oilers?
Posted by: 4 Paws_imp - 09-29-2015, 10:55 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (17)

Anybody use an automatic chain oiling system on their CB?
Which one?
Money well spent? or just spent?

I'm starting to fall into the trap of adding farkels because I can, and found one that meets all the relevant criteria - expensive, functional, simple.

ChicDesign short rear fender owners - tried or considering this?
Posted by: Riko_imp - 09-29-2015, 08:16 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (15)

Hi,

I finally plan to buy a CB1100EX in december-january and as some might know, I've done a whole lot of research Blush

One of my returning questions are those of the dual round taillights.

More specifically I'd like to know if there are owners who have a ChicDesign rear fender, ever tried or considered trying to mount dual round taillights on their fender.

I've done some photo editing and this is what it could look like:

I think it could look great, but still have to see one done for real.

Just wondering tho.

Thx a lot!
Riko

  The CB lives!

Well, folks, it looks like our beloved CB1100 will return to the Honda model line. Not a lot of detail, and for that matter, changes appear to be cosmetic, but here's the first indication that the CB lives on: http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news...z3nD7zXNDx

  Need some Wheel/Tire Advice
Posted by: chync_imp - 09-29-2015, 09:44 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (14)

It is finally time for my first tire replacement and I am uncertain which of the following two scenarios to try.

I am interested in getting some dual compound tires and it looks like my choices are:

1) Get some Michelin PR3's at a size wider than the spec because I can't find any that meet the original tire specs.

2) Change the wheels to 17" rims which opens the door to a lot more tire options.

I have read through the forum's about people exploring both of theese options.

If I change the rims I was looking at the Kineo wheels (http://www.europemotoparts.com/?shop=kineo).

I am hoping that someone that has experience doing either of these with their CB1100 can give me some advice or share their experience.

I don't want to sacrifice safety putting larger tires on (if that is a real concern) and I'm not sure what unforeseen issues I could end up having to deal with by going to 17" rims.

Thanks in advance.

  CB1100EX Test Ride
Posted by: Dareius_imp - 09-29-2015, 06:28 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (40)

I recently had the opportunity to test the CB1100EX. What a great bike, what a smooth engine, what a perfect balance. This bike is very close to perfection.
I also visited Honda's Japan site and the CB1100EX 's page is amazing, it's almost a mini site. Think this bike means "respect". I am thinking to buy one, love the original Cb750 four and it's clear that this new model is made with passion and heritage and "it's more than a bike".
What do you think, "owners"? Share your thoughts and experience and tell me if should buy this bike!

  Help
Posted by: danielquin_imp - 09-29-2015, 03:55 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (18)

I went down today on a gravel road and busted up a part or two.

Hoping someone has a link for where to buy what I need. I need a couple of posts to qualify, then I will put an add in the classifieds.

Thanks
