  Samurider Top Box
Posted by: Bighonda14_imp - 07-16-2016, 02:01 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Does the Samurider Top Box lock? If so, different key?

Does it hold a full face helmet?

How quick and easy is it to take off the bike?

Are used ones ever available?

Does it effect the handling?

Thanks!

Hey Folks,
I'm working on getting my trip posted on ADV Rider and wanted to make sure I linked it for CB1100 Nation. It was epic. 4,140 miles total!

  2014 CB1100E

I see references to this but can't find out what it is. Is that the designation for the Standard or the Deluxe?

Second question, could the 2014 Standard be ordered with ABS?

BIG DISSAPOINTMENT FOR THE CB 1100 FUTURE
Posted by: VALK1_imp - 07-15-2016, 11:50 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (37)

I have been reading this forum for the past 6 day's. I have read every post ( almost ) every post about the CB 1100 good bad or ugly I soaked it all in. I had a brand new CB 750 in 1972 it was a great bike. I currently own a 98 VALKYRIE which is a great bike also and I would never sell it. I watched several you tube videos of the CB 1100 and was impressed to say the least. The bike looks fantastic and I was very excited about it . I spoke to my wife about it and she to was excited for me also. I went to HALL'S MOTORSPORTS in MOBILE AL to look at and possibly purchase one and was informed by them that Honda has chose to discontinue this motorcycle. I was shocked to hear that after only in production for less than two years this bike would be scrapped from Honda's line up. The bike seems perfect for a lot of people. I had exhaust picked out along with several accessories that I wanted for this bike. WOW what a shame to loose such a great motorcycle.

  Does your CB1100 vibrate?
Posted by: dsinned_imp - 07-15-2016, 11:23 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (46)

Can't say that mine does, which is to say, I never notice any vibrations. Its smooth as silk. But, I keep hearing others here on the forum making mention of their bikes with vibrations. Hence, just to try to quantify this issue (or non-issue) I'm starting this poll. Please reply accordingly. TIA.

  Came Across a VFR1200 today
Posted by: Frulk_imp - 07-15-2016, 08:01 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (27)

Man, I came across this one today and it's the first time I've seen one up close and in the flesh. With my CB sitting next to this one I was kinda torn which one I liked better from an aesthetic point of view. Like the CB1100 it appeared to have a high level of fit and finish. would have liked to be able to talk to the owner and ask a few questions. A quick look on local internet sales sites shows two currently for sale around the $8K price point.

  Touratech Dry Bags

Has anyone tried these Touratech bags? They are said to be 100% waterproof and the price is very reasonable. Web Bike World has a write up on them.

  Not to be
Posted by: noroomtomove - 07-14-2016, 09:15 PM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (4)

15th of July
Leaving home at 1:40 pm I had thoughts of of a run down A440 to Phillip Island a distance of about 235 km and then a ride back home via the hills. The days are short here and on the cool side we had snow down to 300 m this week. My optimism was checked after about 200 km and I thought it best to call it a day and head for home at Leongatha. The low fuel blink commenced so with Mirbo North about 30 km away commenced another climb through the hills very in need for some warmth and a refuel. The warm drink was sourced at the Inline Four Cafe where else on the CB 1100, the couple that run the cafe are originally from Europe and were streaming a European language radio station, was able to decipher with my limited linguistic knowledge that once again France was in the news and it was not for the Tour, a moment for reflection. On the ride down hill back home the mind was subjected to occasionally wanderings. Arrived home at 6:30 pm a 343 km journey with a planned destination that was not to be.

Regards
