  CB1100 Art
Posted by: emptysea - 12-28-2016, 08:47 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (27)

Here's an odd request...

I'm looking for a drawing, a diagram, whatever of our bikes engine and/or the whole bike. Something along the lines of a blue print or a design sketch. I think I would like to make a print of that and frame it as artwork. Not at all sure if my wife will allow me to hang it over the fireplace, but it would at least have a prominent place in my garage.

I have done a couple of Google searches on this and have not found anything that suits me. I hope that readers here my a) understand what I'm looking for and b) be able to direct me to the right place.

Thanks in advance.

Driving from Tulsa to Reno next week.
Posted by: Inhouse Bob - 12-28-2016, 08:22 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

It looks like I'll be driving across the Southwest through the Texas panhandle, across New Mexico and Arizona to Vegas, then up to Reno. Is anyone up to taking in a wayward stranger? I'll buy dinner and drinks Tongue
I'll be leaving Tulsa on Tuesday, Jan. 3, early. So Albuquerque area is the first night. Then Vegas the second night. I've never taken the southern route across country, so I am looking forward to the drive.
If you are open to the company of a CB fan for an evening, please PM me.
Thanks!
Thumbs Up

  Harley museum
Posted by: JMA_imp - 12-27-2016, 11:18 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (11)

So I am out in Milwaukee on a non-motorcycle related trip and I conceded just enough on some other stops to convince my group to take a trip to the Harley museum. I've never been, and, full disclosure, never had the privilege of throwing my leg over a Harley.

Though I love my Honda, the strongest among us cannot truly deny the American allure that is Harley Davidson.

Any recommendations for the museum from those that have been?

  My 2013 CB1100 Delivered Today !
Posted by: letsjet_imp - 12-27-2016, 07:05 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (15)

I joined the forum and then bought this 2013 CB1100 the next day. Bought it on the 23rd so it was just delivered by the dealer today. No, it wasn't an impulse purchase as I've had my eye on these bikes since they came out. The bike has a total of 13 miles on it, the previous owner traded it in to a car dealer and the Carson City, NV Honda shop bought it from them. So it's home in the garage keeping my 1973 CT3 175cc Yamaha Enduro and 1971 Yamaha Enduro HT-1B 90 cc company. The little HT-1B is fully restored and was my very first new vehicle of any kind.
What a beautiful Honda, wow, is all I can say! I've got a Road Comet 2 fairing and red side covers on order from Mr. T already. The bike came with a Corbin seat and the Honda OEM luggage rack so other than a Honda key fob I'm set. When people say money can't buy happiness, they don't know where to shop. The Dodge Challenger in Furious Fuchsia just happens to match the Yamaha totally by accident.

  A Christmas Gift from Samurider
Posted by: CB4ME_imp - 12-27-2016, 04:26 AM - Forum: Motorcycling - General - Replies (9)

I haven’t purchased a motorcycle accessory in many months. I don’t even own a motorcycle. But I did receive a surprise Christmas gift from Takashi!

I’m now the proud recipient of a Honda Racing shop towel, a huge and spectacular TSR 2017 calendar, several product brochures, Issue 12 of Riding Sports which is a thick magazine packed chocked full of incredible photos, and a very cool decal of a racing track layout (which I need to identify).

It’s rare to experience such a customer focused business as Samurider, and we are all blessed to have Takashi’s awesome services at our disposal.

I’m wishing Takashi a very successful 2017 and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

I'm backing completely out of any more discussion about the CB1100's attributes. I'm officially (according to the Department of Motor Vehicles) no longer the owner of that type of bike. The exit interview has concluded.

I almost bought one of these instead of the 1100, loved the specs, loved the look, but after testing riding both...it just didn't fit my body 200+ lb body...still would love to have one.

So what did you get?

I got one of those Go Pro Hero 5 things I have no idea how to use, to record rides with

and in honor of meeting my 308 days riding goal this year my son got me the Aerostich Poster that was the inspiration for the quest.
