The A-Man recently posted a link to an article featuring Honda's filing of a patent for a new type of kickstand. That was interesting, but as is so often the case, that wasn't the end of my visit to the VisorDown website. I was sidetracked by another article titled "[url=https://www.visordown.com/features/top-10s/top-10-interesting-yamahas-you-might-not-know-about]Top 10 Interesting Yamahas You Might Not Know About".

One of the motorcycles highlighted in that article was the SDR200. It no doubt won't appeal to some, but I find this little bike to be stunningly beautiful. Whether it is riding a motorcycle or surfing the web, sometimes getting sidetracked and ending up on the path less traveled can prove to be most enjoyable.

Hi guys, I just happened upon this article, and couldn't help but chuckle to myself. See, I had a tipover incident about two weeks ago - for the first time in nearly 50 years of riding, I simply forgot to put the kickstand down. No real damage, just some hurt pride when my wife saw me, and a broken clutch lever. So... I figure this new invention is just a plot by Honda to sell more clutch levers! Enjoy reading.

Some of us know about this, some dont. For new members, and any veteran members that might not know know, I am resurrecting a post about the difference between Phillips head screws and JIS Cross Head screws. Every screw on our bikes that look like a Phillips are actually JIS Cross Heads, and using the wrong screw driver can, and will eventually damage the screw head. Here is the explanation thread:

While we are all cooped up due to the pandemic, I thought at very least this info would be interesting. At most, moderately priced but very useful quality tools to do the job right. I think the main interest for us would be JIS screw driver bits, screw drivers, impact 980 screw driver, and 25001 hand impact driver. The screws on our master cylinder covers are JIS #2. Both JIS and non JIS are carried by this company, so those that ARE JIS have a light gray JIS logo in the listing for the tool.

I started suffering shoulder and throttle hand discomfort on long rides so I installed Bar Risers Voight MT and Kaoko Throttle Lock. Initial results are positive and now looking forward to end of Pandemic so I can test on long ride.

Hi everyone.
I am considering to install a set of engine guards to my CB. I never dropped a bike in my life, but I've seen some CB with scratches on the left side of the engine, so I thought it would be better to prevent a similar damage.
I was wondering if any of you who installed one can provide some hints. I prefer the smaller ones (Fehling, Hepco Becker, and similar), and the genuine Honda is the one that, form the pictures, I like most.
But I'd like to hear form someone who installed them and (ops…) tested them if they really protect the engine.

Best guess is 24 day/ 04 month / 2010 year batch no 43.

Has anyone got an idea if that is correct?
The number is stamped at the back and opposite the terminals, battery could be original ytz14s.

the bike is listed as 2010 so that could be possible, last time i tested it it still contained 5 Ahrs of capacity, which is about half of the new value, cant work it out, who's got an old battery to compare?

Soooooooo... I managed to do a face plant on my '14. While coming to a stop sign with my visor open I managed to get yellow jackets IN my helmet along with a couple on my neck, stuck in my hooded sweatshirt. When I started getting stung I unknowingly squeezed my front brake harder than intended... the next thing I know I am laying on the road. Luckily, besides some road rash through my sweatshirt and a bruised ego, no major injuries were sustained. ANYWAYS... I am hoping to pick some brains on here. When I laid my bike down I managed to break my speedometer, which killed the entire instrument cluster. I am considering buying the replacement assembly on Bike Bandit and doing it myself, but I don't know where the "brain" of my bike is located. If I replace it myself will I need someone to flash the computer or anything like that? Does anyone have any feedback on how complicated doing this swap myself will be? I consider myself pretty mechanically/electrically inclined, I just haven't had to do any complicated work on this thing since I bought it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

Hi All I figured I would show off the new picture of my CB I had commissioned from a random artist on Instagram who happened to be a 17 y/o girl from France. I follow a ton of hashtags on Instagram one of them being #triumphbonneville and I saw that she had posted a watercolor painting of the new bobber model and it was amazing.
