  remember the prototype CB1100?
Posted by: Flynbulldog_imp - 05-23-2013, 12:37 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (19)

It had better suspension and exhaust with beefier brakes, lower bars and a cafe style seat.
What happened? I suppose pricepoint did it's thing as usual.

  Put my deposit down....
Posted by: HikerToo_imp - 05-22-2013, 08:59 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

After losing sleep and my mind for last week or so after discovering the CB1100, I put my deposit down today and plan on paying the balance and picking up tomorrow. Have not ridden in 3 years since selling my "86" Ninja after 20+ years.......even if I don't like riding again, the CB1100 will be something I am proud to own and keep in my garage...at 50 years old, hope I have not lost my nerve to street bike........

  Ride Report

Pulled into my driveway 2 hours ago after my first 60 mile ride on the CB1100 I bought today. Ultra confidence inspiring motorcycle. I have a 60 mile loop I do thru the first set of mountains west of Ft. Collins, CO that takes about an hour and 15 minutes. Mostly all twisties and up and downs and along the Poudre River. This bike is made for this kind of riding.
IMHO - a lot of bike for the money.

  corbin seat for CB1100 ???
Posted by: Houtman_imp - 05-21-2013, 08:57 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (23)

I have had Corbin seats on both my CBX,s for over 20 years and they still look as new.I always buy the vinyl ones as they are more waterproof and less maintainance than the leather ones. When I bought the 94 and 95 CB1000 the first thing I did was ordering a Corbin seat. They have many materials and colors available.
The best thing with these seats is that they are wider than the Honda stock seats,a little firm for the first few hundred miles but after that perfect for me,my weight about 220 is spread over a bigger area and 400 miles a day is no problem.I hope that Corbin will bring out a seat for our bikes, they are well made ,easy to install and I would rather buy aseat made in the USA than one from far way and high shipping cost.I will call Corbin tomorrow and see what they think about coming out with a seat for the CB1100.I also could use a little more height(I am 6.0 ) but might see if a Airhawk seat cover will help for the time being.

Just the spot for accessories and information !
Posted by: old blue_imp - 05-20-2013, 11:09 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (2)

Try this site that has an extraordinary amount of information about
accessories and perspective on the CB 1100f:

http://motorcycleparadise.blogspot.com/2...mment-form

I found it very useful, and the writer has apparently had a facebook page
for the CB 1100f for a couple of years.

Try it here:

Best of luck !

Where to find and buy accessories?
Posted by: Flynbulldog_imp - 05-20-2013, 09:52 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (11)

Hi, Noob here.
I will pick up my cb1100 tomorrow. I've been cruising around the forum for a few days and have read about many of the accessories but I have not found where people are shopping.

Are most people buying from web bike world in Japan?
Are there places in the us to get accessories?

I suppose I'd like the tall honda accessory seat and a slip-on first.
I like the mugen and moriwaki but the staintune also looks nice.

any help on where and how to find these things would be appreciated.
Thanks

  pipe master 4 into 4
Posted by: Houtman_imp - 05-20-2013, 06:26 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (3)

For many years I had a pipe master 6 into 6 on 80 CBX,easy to install and well made.I could retain the center stand what is very important to me.I did not have to rejet it or anything and the sound was great but a little loud.(like the Honda sixes from the sixties but not as loud)
Since living in a different area and often traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway I took them of to be thoughtful of other people.A while ago I saw a Pipe Master 4 into 4 on a CB1100 and I wonder if anyone in Australia can comment on these.
