Within the third thread I read here this morning, two different people referred to the CB's fueling as "lean". And one added "probably due to emissions regs."

Perhaps its a exception, but my CB has never had the slightest issue with fueling with the OEM setup. Its the smoothest running bike I've ever ridden, and I've ridden a LOT of bikes. Honda has published a great amount if detail on the effort they took to produce a linear power delivery for this bike.

Did/does your bike run poorly in the lower RPM range as delivered? Was it bad enough you felt modifying the FI system at your expense was necessary? Did you discuss the issue with your Honda service dept? If so, what did they say about it?

Can ayone tell me if the 2014 Bread Loaf Seat will fit on the 2013 CB?

I took a quick trip to feed the need for some Arby's for lunch today. I'm not going too far from home yet, but I will get there.

Did my first 100+ mile ride today on my new '14 Deluxe. Added a Comet 2 fairing, Superbrace, Engine Guards and the RLET's. Really enjoy the bike. Fairing cuts enough wind to make freeway riding less tired some. The Superbrace makes the front end a little more planted .... Dragged the pegs a few times without really trying.

Have the Chic Design short front and rear but going to wait for the K and H single seat to be available. Apparently there is a difference between the 2013 and 2014 seat.

Got home and decided to take out my heavily mod'ed and cafe'ed Triumph Bonneville. Love both bikes but completely different rides. CB is smooth as glass and the Bonnevile is raw and rugged.

My bike has developed a familiar minor surge/hunting at low throttle openings. I say 'familiar' because I've experienced it on bikes with emissions canisters -- shortly before the canister "falls off." I've generally left the tank vent tube to atmosphere and used a vacuum cap for the line from the throttle bodies. QUESTION: has anyone here removed the canister from a CB1100? Where is the thing? Honda did a good job making it inconspicuous! (I searched the forum and the web before posting -- I apologize if there's a thread on this already, I just couldn't find it!).

Even after living here 14 years, running Lake Shore Drive early on a weekend morning and taking in the lakeshore skyline never gets old.

We recently returned from a one week vacation on Manasota Key, FL. Stayed at a nice resort right on the gulf and had a great time save for one thing, the almost constant noise from the "Loud pipes save lives" jerks, profiling up and down the island on their "life style accessory" Harleys.

Is it any wonder that bikes are banned from some resort areas. This is not meant as a put down on the Motor Company. Their bikes come equipped with mufflers. However, seems that many HD riders equip their bikes with the loudest exhaust systems they can buy then parade around in herds for no other purpose than to draw attention to themselves and sounding all the while like a convoy of ragged out dump trucks.

I'm sure the real motorcyclists that ride HD are not among this rabble.

Just tried installing the type II bars on my 14 std. Unfortunately the drilled locator holes for the switch housings were nowhere close to where they need to be. About 45 degrees off. If I installed the switches in the holes provided, they would be rotated forward by that amount. Obviously unusable.

Anyway, I purchased them this week from samurider, Honda part #53100-mgc-930. Don't really want to send them back to Japan. Anyone have any thoughts?
