Below is an excerpt from an Aussie motorcycle magazine (Thanks AMCN). It's a big recall. I guees my point is that perhaps 20 or so years ago it would have been "Keep quiet, it will all go away". I'm not pointing the finger at BMW, they make great bikes. Any issues with your bike, whatever make, put it in the public domain. In this modern world we are very fortunate that we can communicate openly and take some action if need be.

“BMW Motorrad is in the process of contacting all owners of the motorcycles affected, and will replace the aluminium wheel flange fitted to these bikes with a steel component boasting greater rigidity.”
Anyone with specific enquiries about the recall are advised to contact an authorised BMW Motorrad dealer or call the BMW Group Australia Customer Interaction Centre on 1800 813 299.

Any great idea for a cool plate on the CB?

New 2014 CB1100, less than 500 miles. When I finished my workout at the Y today I noticed my cycle was pulling hard. With clutch pulled in, it would barely roll. I rode it home and put it up on center stand. That's when I found the rear tire would barely turn. What's happening with this? Can I ride it the 20 miles to the dealer in the morning without doing any harm? Anything i can do tonight to free up the brake?

I like the Road Comet on my 2014 DLX. But I think I would like to install the low bars from Samurider. Anyone have any input on these?

1. What are some must have mods I should pick up?
2. Does anyone know about the 2014s with a center stand being compatible with the yoshimura full race exhaust?
3. Where can I find some black ohlunds and should I tough it out and get the best ones or is there a mid range solution?
4. Are there other seat manufacturers that aren't Corbin and have nice seats?
5. Does anyone have any experience with the ryugin fender eliminator?
6. Has anyone found a nice wrist lock solution for cruise control - I have the Honda heated grips installed.

8. The cb500f mirrors are the mirrors of choice it seems from you guys, would I just get those from a dealer?
9. My plan is to black out most of the chrome except the front fork, should I do this by wrapping the parts or is there better black parts such as rear handles, passenger pegs, headlight brackets etc.
10. What's the piece called that lowers or smooths out the throttle spike when just turning it? And would it be possible to make it compatible with the Honda heated grips?
