Forum T-Shirts

T shirts are like CB's.. Some prefer the 13, some prefer the 14 dlx and some prefer the 14 std. No way to make everyone happy. Your odds of making everyone happy are 1 in 3 lol

I can design generic as far as the bike graphics go. Help with pictures of that will be appreciated. I liked the concept drawing that was posted earlier, but not sure where it came from, would need a good copy.

I called Custom Ink and got more info. Everyone can pay on-line and choose their size and color. My design was for a medium to dark shirt with white print (If anyone wants a light colored shirt with black print there is a minimum of 6 shirts for a separate run, doesn't have to be same person). I'm going for red myself (DLX) but thought the guys with black beauties might want black shirts, nice option. To make this work all orders would have to be in by May 11th for them to ship to me and I will bring them to NC. For those not attending I can ship them to individuals for cost of postage. For 30 shirts they came in at about $15 each. For an extra $4.50 you can get your name on the sleeve.

So now all I need is design input. Some mentioned using the Forum banner, but that only has Red and White bikes, so I think I should nix that ? don't want to dis the Black Beauties.

The more generic the better. If you put rlets or rlet racing on them there are people that don't have or want rlets. just:

CB1100forum.com

across the left breast on the front and

CB1100 Forum Rally
Great Smoky Mountains
May 28-31, 2015

(Note no "e" in Smoky)

Centered on the back

That would be as safe as you could get

We can always design a forum shirt for all members later, that has nothing to do with rally.

No motorcycle graphics ? I get the no RLET part. No E, LOL that explains why Google didn't auto fill.....

Sorry I was in the sign business for 25 years and a free lance writer and associate editor for 30. I verify spelling on everything except forum posts lol.

Well just my suggestion, see what others think, then do what you want. I will probably order 1

I'm with Ferret on this. Although, if you wanted to have a catch phrase (like the Mini group has with "Minis on the Mountain"), you could add it to the back below CB1100 Forum Rally.

"RLETs Get Together" or "RLETs Ride!" of course, I'm a sucker for a good pun, or even a bad one, which is affecting my thought process right now.

I would probably buy one if the t-shirt was black. I look bad in red...I look great ON red. :)

Also, I'm not partial to having a picture of the bike on the shirt, but I'm just one opinion. Thanks for putting this together, Chap and I'm sure whatever you come up with will be awesome. :)

RLET's ride ...... Very clever lol

Why not make a t-shirt depicting all 3 models? :D

That's one reason I used the concept sketch in my first mock ups. It applies to all models. ;)

That sketch came from Honda's official site and are the highest resolution versions that I know of.

Empty, when the design is all set everyone will be able to order any color they like.

So, your suggestion is instead of "CB1100 Forum Rally" use "CB1100 RLET Ride" (on back only, front left would be just "CB1100 Forum")

I like the idea of graphics of a bike on the back, most t-shirts have some sort of graphic design incorporated, but I need a vote.

The beauty of Zazzle is that you can have 100 different versions (or more). Start with a basic theme (to RLET or Not), forum name or not, Rally info or not. Buy it, then you have a unique t-shirt.

Which is cool as then we don't have a uniform. You can wear your shirt to meet-ups and we can marvel at what you did (or tease you over coffee - my favorite method :D ).

Once a design is out there, or at least the graphics, text can be added or removed, color of shirt choosen, the world is your oyster!

I agree that Zazzle is a plus in that way, but they offered basically only White, Black or Blue. I wasn't considering it to be a uniform. For me it was meant to be memorabilia. I have 30 year old Ts that I may only wear once a year and I have never bumped into anyone wearing the same one....would be cool if I did ! It would be fun if everyone went to Zazzle and created their own design as well, I might just do that.

It needs polishing, but something like this. I don't know how to make the background of the bike picture transparent so this only looks good on a white T for now.

^^^ Too much "CB1100" with the black writing and the forum banner.

I'm not sure what to put on the front, but on the back, a large photo of the bike with a same width red forum banner right under the bike would be nicely visual and get the message across without being too busy. And drop the "RLET" completely.

I think that some of the designs here are to represent the forum or the bike itself, whereas it seems like Chapomis is trying to come up with a shirt for the NC Rally and that does mean there's a bit of a time consideration to be made.

I think he's darn close to having a great shirt designed for this purpose. I don't care if "RLETs" are mentioned, but I do like the idea of giving the Rally a nickname and "RLETs Ride!" seemed fitting to me. Another catchy phrase would be more than acceptable to me. I'm buying one of these despite the fact that I'm not going to be at the rally. Great work, Chap.

Theres " Got RLETS ?" or "Its after midnight, do you know where your RLET's are ?" or "My bike has fallen and RLET's helped me up"....nah

I go with MTC and give the event a nickname, CB1100 Forum RLET's Ride, Smoky Mountains NC, May 28 - 31, 2015 (all on back) CB1100 small on left front. I will post pictures later for additional feedback.

This is just an event t-shirt. If the forum wants to create an Official Forum T, that can be done another time.

Here is my, based on input, "NC May Event" t-shirt (not to be confused with an "Offical CB1100 Forum" t-shirt). You can order this shirt in any color you like for no extra charge, I put it on Blue to be "Neutral". Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions, I am semi-retired and have time to do this for the event. This forum is great and as I don't have much technical advice to offer to the forum, I can offer this. The design has yet to be set in stone, just the .2 version.

Love the .2 version! Consider, though, putting "RLETs Ride" in quotes and with a ! at the end. I think it would reinforce the "Let's Ride!" expression off which it is played. Either way is cool though.
