I just put new Michelin P R 3 tires on yesterday. When picking up the bike from the shop,I asked how much pressure did they put in. Tech stated 36 in rear 36 in front, his comment was when they warm up ,it will be 40psi. I thought 40 psi was cold pressure Am I mistaken .

I believe spec is 36F 42 R cold (however those are recommendations I run 38 front 40 rear cold)

Tire Pressure Spec is always at ambient "cold" temperature. Change your shock preload, not tire pressure. Pressure affects traction, grip, wear, handling, ... engineers figured that out. Hopefully not the engineers that did the gearing for the 2013-lol.

That's what I was thinking, this place is a express tire and lube bike shop.
