Ok, so from what you're saying then I was mistaken in assuming that the autotune units were in any way model specific, other than channel count.
Back to the "o2 bung" situation. I no longer have stock headers, but the port into which the sensor screws is the exact same size and thread as the stock headers. So, what i'm gathering is that the o2 sensor that the dynojet system comes with simply will not fit into this spot, and so a part must be welded on in order to adapt it, correct?. I think this is the reason i was coming across information telling me the autotune would not fit our bike, because it in fact does not fit out of the box.
I'm not willing to commit to any welding, nor do i know of anybody that can do that kind of work. i'd have to remove my entire exhaust, which was torture for me to put on in the first place. I think I need to stick with an option that doesn't involve any welding, because that sounds like way more trouble and expense than it's worth.
