Linear A/F ratios on a graph are not necessarily optimal for rideability. Owning 3 other bikes with Power Commanders with dyno tweaked maps I can tell you that once you get spoiled by a properly mapped bike, you will feel the difference from stock. Most bikes are too lean below 4000 rpm and too rich at full throttle.

Yes, the CB1100 is decently mapped for a stock motorcycle, but there is clearly room for improvement.
