Throttle Position Sensor

Hi, does anyone know how to calibrate the throttle position sensor or the voltage range of TPS on your perfectly normal bikes?!!!

There is no mention of the normal voltage range of properly calibrated TPS on the service manual. There is some information (generic) on the internet about the voltage reading at Closed Throttle (CT) to be in the range of 0.45-0.55V and Wide Open Throttle (WOT) 4.5-5.0V.

According to the service manual ,on page 5-15, your ECM would store a DTC of 8-1, TP sensor low voltage(less than 0.3 volts} or DTC 8-2, TP sensor high voltage(above 4.93 volts) so I imagine that is the operating range from closed throttle to wide open throttle. You can measure these voltages with either a volt meter or a lab scope by back probing the correct leads at the sensor, KeyOnEngineOff, which is probably impossible to do on a motorcycle due to access to the plug. The only other way is with the Honda MCS scan tool as stated on page 5-13, which is more than likely displayed in the data stream. I would suggest not touching the adjustment unless one of the above codes are flashed as in the manual on page 5-15. This bike would flash the codes via the MIL blink pattern as described on page 5-13
