The CB is a perfect base for hot rodding just like the original 750. It is in such a mild state of tune, Im sure there is great potential for building one that runs like stink. Just need aftermarket to catch up.

Not much different from people hot-rodding low horsepower 4-cylinder automobiles. Can it be done? Sure... given enough money and time, mostly anything is possible. But if you calculate your return versus investment (including time), it's usually more efficient to start with something that has a bunch of power in stock tune and go from there.

Have got a few rides in now w/o an O2 sensor. Runs and rides great, a little more power. The most noticeable was low end power, pulls from 1500 like it did from 2000. It also seemed to smooth things out all over. Like it wasn't smooth with great low end power before?
I like it, @ 25 bucks it's worth a try!
Still plan to add a PC when avalible.

No doubt that the CB1100 can be taken to a higher level of performance. However, it is equally beyond a doubt that the cost of doing so will not be light. Higher compression pistons, gas flowed heads, cams, etc., are not cheap. The level of performance gained is hard to justify given the cost. Take it from me, most of my bikes have been highly modified and I don't regret it, but the CB stays stock.

That's exactly what I said 3 months and 8k ago..........It was a great plan for about a week

Ack-CB11, first off i completely agree. but look at your bike now! only one in the country like that!! and its beautiful!
So do you recommend the eliminator? how much did it cut down your mpg?

I have 2, PM me and I'll mail one to you. I don't really keep track of exact MPG's. Seems about the same distance to reserve though, with the stock tank. I'm still dialing in my bigger tank with it now, at 170 miles and havn't hit reserve yet.

Not sure what you are asking however if you are wanting to make your own O2 eliminator then simply disconnect the O2 sensor in your exhaust system and bridge those two same wires with a 320 ohm 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistor. A piece of heat shrink tubing long enough to cover the resistor and termination points with the wires would be a nice touch to protect the assembly from weather and vibrations.
