Is there an easy way to adjust the Throttle Cable. My 2013 CB1100 does not have the prescribed amount of 'play' in throttle and the cable adjusters, at the handle bar, are all the way in.
I know how to adjust the cable where it connects to the engine but I can not seem to be able to get to it! I took the tank off but there are a lot of things in the way.... things that I really did not want to mess with.
So is there a 'better... easier' way of getting this done?

Gwallis,
I don't have the '14 manual, but it should be the same for adjustment.
The book says the Throttle grip freeplay can be adjusted at either end of the throttle cable.
Minor adjustment is made with the throttle grip side adjuster.
Major adjustment is made with the throttle body side adjuster.
Then it shows a picture of the left side of the engine and has you loosen a lock nut and turn the adjuster. Looks to me like you can get right to it and no part removal or tank lifting is needed.
If you need, I can scan the page and email it to you. I cannot post it here.

Ferret, Are you referring to the adjustment at the throttle? He said he maxed that one out.

I'm thinking maybe he turned it the wrong way. It takes very little adj to adjust a lot. I've had one tiny adjustment in 23,000 miles on my 2 CB1100s. Spec is 2-6 mm or up to 1/4". That's a lot of freeplay.

NOPE... it is adjusted all the way.

Gwallis,
Although the picture in the manual makes it look pretty easy, I just looked at mine and it is tight! I see what you mean. Good luck with it. Let us know how you do.
