Sedici Maximo Adv Boot.

I bought them at Cycle Gear yesterday. Even though they're tall they were easy to get on and off unlike many of the others they had in stock. I've never worn a real motorcycle boot. These are leather and waterproof. In the past I always worn just a pair of Timberland waterproof boots. Is Sedici a good brand? These may be too ADV looking but actually under jeans who sees them and I like the extra ankle and shin protection they offer which could come in handy when I take my KLR off road (which is hardly ever... lol). What do you guys think? What do you wear?

I was looking at my brother's Harley the other day and he had this tiny bell hanging from the front. I'm obviously intrigued so I ask him and he explains it is a Guardian Bell and goes into details about how it is suppose to protect you from Road Demons. I don't normally buy into such things but it couldn't hurt (and it looks kinda cool) so I buy one off of ebay. It arrived today and I start searching for a place to hang it from the bike. OK, HERE IS WHERE IT GETS REALLY INTERESTING....I found a tiny hole in one of the cooling fins that works perfect. What else could said hole be for? I'm guessing our Asian friends must have had a reason. Care to speculate? Anyways, check it out....

Touring through the Snowies to PI, days riding the twisties of the Oxley Highway or exploring the dirt roads of our wide brown land, and extended sorties, solo or in groups, to rallies and other events are what you might call the meat of my motorcycling experience. But, day to day, nothing puts more shape in my week than a short ride out for a light lunch. Autumn is, I have to say, my favourite time to savour the experience. So, yesterday, the destination was provided by the St Albans Inn. The journey was made sweet by the the relaxed cruising along the banks of the Hawkesbury River and crossing the river on the Wisemans Ferry, the pace of yesteryear. The spice was added by the twisties of the St Albans Road and the Old Pacific Highway.

A clear, sunny and mild day and a little over 260 kms on Last Blast.

VIR is hosting at least three motorcycle road racing weekends this summer - May, June, and September.
For anybody not familiar with the track it is a road race course located near Danville VA, very spectator friendly and well maintained in the rolling VA countryside.

Hey guys, I just started riding my bike again this year, and when I passed 100 miles on the Trip, 2 things happened:
1. My Trip rest to 0 and started again
2. My Odometer did something crazy - I have about 2,300 miles on it, but when I switch to my Odometer, it shows r269. If I switch to km instead of miles, it shows -680.

Does anyone know what the issue might be? Ask me additional questions if you need more info.

I have a customer who just bought our last new 2014 Standard. He is asking about a rubber o-ring that was in the new bike packet (with the owner's manual and other stuff) that is around 4-5 inches in diameter. He said it looks like one that you might find behind an engine case with a groove cut in it for the o-ring to sit inside (I am thinking like how some bikes have an oil filter that goes inside the engine). Anyway, was wondering if anybody else had this with their new bike. Thanks.

If anybody is interested, I emailed Jerry Finley from Pirateslair.net last week about a Staintune slip-on for the bike. Great guy, got right back to me saying he had some on order & would be getting them next week. I believe he was only getting 5 in so if anyone has been looking, now might be the time. VERY good communication from Jerry. I ordered mine on Mon. & can't wait to get it.

Hello all fellow CB riders.

Finally the temperatures are high enough for a proper long ride. Today I ventured in the nearby Croatia. Having fun on the twistties on the mouintan range Velebit that runs along the Adriatic sea.
Suprisingly there was still snow and spring flowers.









And one time had to change my course due to snow blocking the road.


On top of the range there is always some islands to admire.



And to finish the beautifull day by the sea with a glass of beer. It was a good day.

I usually don't care for the "café" look, but I will make an exception for this black version. (minus upgraded shocks, higher seat and blacked-out engine and rims)

So... I did some searching and found a lot of threads about people gearing their CB1100 up with larger front sprockets and/or smaller rear sprockets to LOWER cruising RPM in top gear - particularly on the 2013 model.

I have a 2014 with the six speed and I'm very happy with it (after a ECU reflash to remove the nanny limits and an arrow exhaust I feel it's almost perfect!).

However, I do very little highway with my CB1100 (I have another bike for that) and mostly just zip around town or hit the mountains.

To me I feel the stock gearing is too high for enthusiastic riding and that the bike would zip around a lot better with some lower gearing. I mean.. it'll do 120mph plus in 4th gear and still has two more to go...

Anyone tried gearing their CB down instead of up? Results? Bad idea? Don't mess up a good thing?
