First ride in 2016 - finding snow in Croatia - Bosti - 04-15-2016

Hello all fellow CB riders.

Finally the temperatures are high enough for a proper long ride. Today I ventured in the nearby Croatia. Having fun on the twistties on the mouintan range Velebit that runs along the Adriatic sea.
Suprisingly there was still snow and spring flowers.









And one time had to change my course due to snow blocking the road.


On top of the range there is always some islands to admire.



And to finish the beautifull day by the sea with a glass of beer. It was a good day.

Great pictures, Bosti. Being able to ride all year round makes it hard for me to imagine the relief you guys must feel when you can finally get out on the bike again.

Lovely photos Bosti. Those flowers closely resemble the Zephyr Lilies that are blooming now on the roadsides near my home but the Zephyr Lilies are white.

During the winter with the low temperatures and short days I envy people in warm and sunny countries. In those months the idea of moving to a warmer climate is always on my mind, which is funny when I was a kid I just adored snow.

Yes. They really look similar but in my country spring lillies are mostly violet, now and then there is an albino among them.

Loving these photos, what a beautiful country. I have been to Zagreb, briefly, but never got over to the Adriatic. Great place to sail I'm told, and I can see also great bike territory Thumbs Up
