Bogong Highplains Rd Victoria Australia

Went for a ride and checked out the Bogong Highplains Rd. This road was constructed in 1966 and is well maintained quite narrow and with bends aplenty this road is declared hazardous by the the Victorian Road Corporation and may be closed in winter with boom gates, the sights are up there as is the altitude for this place anyway.

The Great Alpine road to Anglers Rest home of the Blue Duck Inn. A few photos a peanut butter sandwich and a cup of tea.

A clear sky day.

  2016 Harley Davidson Roadster

This new bike coming out by HD has piqued my interest. It's similar in design to the Sportster and Iron 883 but there's just something about it that draws me in unlike those others. What do you think?

Installed them on Friday. As a 225lb rider, I can say that this has been the best $100 spent on my bike. Goes over bumps smoother and less harsh when I hit hit rough spots on the road.

OK, gotta get this off my chest, I really hate the word "farkle"...
Posted by: DaSwami_imp - 04-22-2016, 03:15 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (35)

....it's sounds like a cross between "fart" and "sparkle"....I have an image of someone cutting the cheese and a poof of glitter coming out. "Oops...I just farkled...."

Seriously, where did such a sissified word for motorcycle accessories come from??

I just hate it.

That is all.

Rear rack: H&B, Givi, Honda OEM or ?
Posted by: DaSwami_imp - 04-22-2016, 03:05 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (38)

Ok, discarded the idea of the C-Bow system for my CB and now thinking a rear rack and soft tail bag (hard tail bags look to "spaceship-ey" to me).

The H&B rack look like it sits real high compared to the Givi and Honda.

Looks like they all bolt where the grab bars are so easy install and no turn signal relocation.

What are you using and what bags fo you recommend? Pics are especially appreciated, thanks.

Anyone know where to get rear axle spools or is the CB not a candidate for such an item?

Cycle Spot CB1100 Cafe - More like CB1100RR - Awesome Build
Posted by: Garver_imp - 04-21-2016, 11:33 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (7)

Hey guys I posted these pictures in two other posts recently, one having to do with clip on's and the other having to do with possibility of swing arm swaps but I figured this bike needed its own thread mainly in hopes that the shop/builders will reach out and share some knowledge on the build. I would really like to hear from them on this since this thing just looks like such a beast to ride, really want to almost mirror this with my '13 CB1100.

Best CB1100 Cafe build i have seen yet. Worship

Spanish MotoGP - Jerez ***SPOILER ALERT***

beIN Sports schedule: Moto2 and Moto3 will air early Sunday morning but we'll have to wait until 8pm Eastern for the main event.

FP1 concluded with Lorenzo leading the charge. But FP2 will determine who gets into Q2.

My favorite rider MM saw his Honda cut out in FP1 and a ride back into the pits on a scooter.
