Misano Moto GP **** SPOILER ALERT ***
Posted by: CB4ME_imp - 09-08-2016, 11:08 PM - Forum: Motorcycling - General - Replies (12)

This weekend should see the championship points tighten up. Misano is tailor made for the Yamahas and a nightmare track for the Hondas. Rossi and Lorenzo have to be the favorites. Marquez could see himself way down in the finishing order. I only hope he rides like he did before Silverstone - with some maturity and a long view of the championship. He can't afford a DNF.

FP2 (riders in Q2)

1 P. ESPARGARO 1:32.769
2 D. PEDROSA +0.065
3 A. DOVIZIOSO +0.132
4 J. LORENZO +0.280
5 M. MARQUEZ +0.427
6 V. ROSSI +0.618
7 C. CRUTCHLOW +0.731
8 S. REDDING +0.783
9 H. BARBERA +0.812
10 M. VIÑALES +0.860

  Detour thru Black Forest
Posted by: Django - 09-07-2016, 06:46 AM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (4)

We wanted to meet with some regulars in a bar after work last Friday.

The distance from my work place to that bar is about 10 km.

Well, the weather was nice and I was able to leave the office earlier at 2 pm. So, 2 friends of me and myself started to go a little way around. Finally we ended up at curvy roads in the north of Black Forest and it took us as many as 240 km to join with our friends for a drink in the evening. Thumbs Up

  Mailbox Suprise

Went up to the mailbox last night and along with the usual junk mail and bills I spotted a piece of stiff paper with the glossy picture of a beautiful motorcycle on it.

"Hey that's a CB 1100" I thought

ended up it was a postcard with a nice note from our German friend Django! Very Cool!

if you remember Django was instrumental in me getting the Fehling rack for my CB 1100 directly from Germany.

postcard now hanging on front of fridge!

Thanks Django for the help and the card. Just knowing you are enjoying your CBF1000 on those awesome autobahn and Alps roads as well

Interesting article about ethanol:

"the conclusion is that U.S. biofuel use to date is associated with a net increase rather than a net decrease in CO2 emissions"

  Very desirable Honda CT110?
Posted by: LongRanger_imp - 09-05-2016, 05:16 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (8)

The following paragraph is from a current eBay listing for a decent looking, low mileage 1980 Honda CT110. "I rarely ride trail bikes, but when I do, I ride a CT110." lol

This beauty was a craigslist score. This bike could be a show piece in any man cave. It is extremely rare to find any bike this old with this low of mileage and condition. It would be a simple restoration to bring it to museum quality. Anyone looking for a nice bike in great condition should consider this bike because it is in amazing condition and anyone that is a collector knows Honda is a great brand to collect and the value will grow exponentially as we start reflecting back on some of the best machines man has ever made. This reflection will start to bring tremendous value to the Brands that have been trend setters and have a following because of its high quality. I'm certain that the price I'm starting it at might be higher then most have sold for but this condition is worth the price if your one who values rare and pristine pieces of machinery that are extraordinary in quality. I'm certain the buy it now price will be used because there are plenty of people who have inexhaustible amounts of wealth and this bike who be what you would expect to find in a Millionaire or Billionaires possession because it is what makes a statement about a man is his possessions and it is rare to achieve that level of success so it is a person who values those rare articles that deserve a environment that is protected and admired by all who visit.
