Does anybody make a relocation kit that both lowers and moves the foot controls forward a bit? Long legs get cramped up in the stock position. Help appreciated.

Not long ago I bought a $50 Torc full face helmet that I planned to use riding a Honda 350 around town. Soon after I had to move out of state quickly so I had a garage sale that included my unused Torc helmet. I put a price of $5 on it.
A father and his 7 year old son approached me and said he wanted to
buy the helmet for his son. I explained the helmet was to big for his son and would offer little protection. Dad told me his son doesn't ride anything but his bicycle, the boy just wanted to wear a motorcycle racers helmet. So I sold it to him.
Fast forward two weeks... I had just exited the local Walmart when I heard a strange voice behind me say, how you doing? I turned around
and it was the Dad. He thanked me again for the helmet. I looked down and there was his 7 year old son wearing the helmet.
I'll never forget that.[/size]

My wife is about 5’10”. Says the pegs are too high. Anyone dealt with this yet?

Here's another new machine for 2018. 47moto, new company in the US of A. The design currrently uses a Sanyang/SYM powerplant, 25 HP.



Sanyang, that's the outfit in Taiwan. Got this from Wikipedia: "The annual sales revenue of the company exceeds 1 Billion US dollars and it produces about 600,000 units of motorcycles and 20,000 automobiles per year."

There are rumors the engine will be made in the USA at some point, but that's pretty unlikely since Sanyang has been making engines since 1961, and can likely supply a good product much more economically.

I hear tell they have a plant in Japan (Nagoya) now, too.

I registered a couple of weeks ago with some questions about the CB 1100 RS – the bike I ended up buying in order to replace my Bonneville T100!...
The bike will arrive in one week and I'm considering about to put some new cans on it. Don't want nothing with a "racer" or carbon look, I want to keep that classic Megaton appearance... Any ideas, not considering the Ryujin, Morivaki or Wyvern, which I really appreciate but are gosh darn expensive...
I live in Portugal (Europe), so european brands, like Arrow or similar will be preferred.

As a owner of a 2013 cb1100 I’m a fan of the modern retro.. but I need a little
Advice on another different bike.

One of the bikes I wish I had gotten when it came out was one of the 1st, the kawi w650, but life, marriage divorce, etc intervened. . So since it’s come out, it’s always been on my radar as something to look at for in he used market, but it’s commanded a rather high price (like used 2013 cb1100 $..

At least till now.. There is now one for sale locally (35 mins away) for $1900 bucks.. it was involved in a tip over, but fixed via insurance (#1), and it’s been in a shed for over a year so it’s not running but it’s not seized (#2). The paint looks good, and the metal needs a good polish, but it looks solid..

I’m in if it won’t take much to get it back on the road.. figure it needs a carb clean, fluid flush (oil/clutch/brake), plus new pad and tires.. It would not be the first rehab I’ve done, but those where on Honda’s where not much needed to be replaced..

Thoughts anyone?

Seller wants in gone, has gotten a lot of interest but nobody with $ so far.. I need another bike like a hole in the head, but I’d probably get off my butt and sell the 03 wide glide, which would recoup the purchase price and any parts..

How much oil is really in there?
The 2013-2014 shop manual says (at page 1-6), 3.8 liters after draining, 3.9 liters after draining and filter change, and 4.9 liters after disassembly. Where is that last liter hiding?

This isn't the first time we'll have discussed this bike. I must admit I'm being pulled in like a tractor beam, my friends. I almost can't believe how perfectly Triumph has captured here my decades-long dream of what a proper motorcycle should look like. Unless I discover something about it I absolutely can't live with, my 2014 DLX may be up for sale soon to make room. I may have to figure out how to tour with less luggage, but that might not be a bad thing. I'll keep y'all posted as to how this turns out...

Q: What is the most novel lunch break / diet idea ever?

A: Play with new motorcycle parts instead of eating food, lol.

OK, I was definitely not expecting my delivery from Mr. T (Samurider.com) to arrive so quickly with potential holiday induced interruptions to service, etc.. Which made it all the more surprising when I answered the door this morning only to find our postal carrier waiting for me holding a large box with the Honda logo printed on it. Nice!!

So I just finished running out to the garage to swap seats. It took me longer to snag a few photos than it did to actually swap out the seats. The Japan model seat doesn't look quite as different on the bike in person as I was expecting, but you can tell a difference. Based on the "thumb test", the padding in the new seat feels like it might possibly be just a bit more dense but it's hard to tell. The only other notable difference between the two seats is that the Japan model seat has an "e-cushion" logo on it. More importantly, I can certainly tell the difference when seated on the bike, as I'm now easily able to firmly flat foot both feet. This should come in incredibly handy when dealing with things like uneven surfaces or loose gravel and stable footing is needed while parking the bike, etc.. That's really all I have time to report on for now. Good stuff!

Next up will either be the test ride or the installation of the Honda OEM Type II handlebars (followed by a test ride). All dependent upon time/weather constraints.

Just got off the phone with Seth, he was running the foam cutting saw on on my seat when he called me, wanting to make sure he had all the correct specs.
He is making a solo black seat with a grey top for me today, and hopes to get it in the mail today.
Will post pictures as soon as it arrives.
If it works out, my black Corbin with red cord trim will be going on the market soon.
I love the Corbin, but Seth is moving me back about 1/2 inch and up 3/4 inch on his. Hopefully I'll then have a perfect fit.
