In NC we have property tax on our vehicles , including motor cycles.
Last year my 2013 CB 1100 with ABS was appraised at $ 9,900 and my 2014 DLX at $ 7,652
I just got the bill for my 2018 tax and my 2013 and it is still $ 9,900 !
Is it that very few 2013 with ABS were sold , perhaps I should sell my bike to Buncombe County / NC tax office !

Tech3 has announced that it will end it's deal with Yamaha at the end of 2018 and will be supplied by KTM in 2019.

Good shining sun yesterday morning, we went for a ride toward Le Bourget Lake, 50 miles from home. Cold morning, but no snow around home... Let's go!

First stop under "Dent de Crolles", 20 miles east of Grenoble : white mountains, but dry road in the valley, no problem.



Later we were rather surprised to find snow in the fields, despite altitude being the same, clearly this area is colder...



Even on one side of the lake, water was still frozen...



At the end of the afternoon, South wind came, bringing some less cold air, but also rain for the evening!


I hope now snow will not come in the valleys any more - OK for ski resorts in altitude, but it's enough for this winter!

Have 9K on my 2013. Just curious how many if any had valves that needed adjustments on their first check? I'm about to have mine checked.

When I log on to the forum from my work computer, I can see the images that Chip Beck has posted for his many modifications. When I log in from my laptop at home, the only images I see are the "3rd Party Hosting.." gauges. Does anyone know what I need to do to see Chip's (and any other) photos?

If you have the factory accessory rear rack on your CB and find the predrilled holes in the deck slats to be unsightly and unnecessary, buy yourself a bag of Balkamp #665-2391 plastic plugs from any Napa dealer. They fit tightly into the holes and will give your rack a finished appearance. About $5 for a small bag. And they'll pop right out if you ever decide to use those holes for something.

Ok, I have officially put the idea of getting the new CB1100RS to bed so as a consolation prize I am going to upgrade the suspension on my '14. And get a Stainetune.

I know exactly zero about suspensions, so after scouring the forum I have come up with the following:

I'm not 100% decided on the rear, both look like good options. Of course the cheaper Icons are more appealing but I don't mind spending a little extra for better shocks. Ohlin's are a bit too much though.

54 miles at 39 degrees this morning. Wore my new Freeze Out gear I got from the new Cycle Gear store in Centerville, Ohio yesterday. I am pretty impressed with it.

For being super cheap gear it is pretty nice stuff. Got the long sleeve shirt, pants and balaclava (and my wife got gloves).

There is an extra panel of some material(?) in the stomach, chest, shoulders, thighs, knees, neck, chin and top of the head. Must say it seemed to do a good job of insulating. Wasn't cold at all and didn't have the heat turned on on my jacket liner. Will have to try it on the naked CB but IMO was well worth the $50 we spent on it.
