I'm serious this time... - the_undecider_imp - 08-08-2018

Well, there might be a few of you here who remember my eternal struggle to find peace with my CB1100. It was and is such a lovely bike, but I have never been able to be completely satisfied with it. Comfort has been my main complaint. Despite all that I didn't like about it, I just couldn't bring myself to let it go. It almost happened 2 years ago when I was going to sell it to a customer of the motorcycle dealer where I work. He ended up hesitating with his purchase and it was enough to make me change my mind.

Here we are today and I just finished swapping all the stock components back on the bike and it will be ready for one last ride to work where I am trading it in. Long story short, sold my Grom for decent money and since I am a shop employee, I get the pro-deal on any of the Japanese brands. So, with some manufacturer rebate assistance on a leftover non-current, I am going to be twisting the throttle on something new.

Since it isn't a done deal as far as exchanging money and my title, I am going to wait until everything is finalized to post in "Other Bikes" about what I bought. Let that be a surprise and feel free to guess what it might be. I plan on still hanging around since this has been the best forum I am ever been a part of. Truly, there has been so little bickering and unpleasantness. Wish other places were like this. Stay tuned...

So the_undecider is serious ? Big Grin
I was that way last week when i decided not to sell mine when i already had a buyer willing to pay more than i paid.

while your looking at bikes and for the money if you want a super ride try a left over Valkyrie. the side radiators are odd but look better in person than in photo's. for $7999 it is a lot of bike with 3 yr warranty . things you may not know about it is it has longer rake and trail than the Goldwing and improved brakes with opposing pistons = 4 per caliper , the ride is fantastic , feels light even at 750 Lbs wet with 6 gal of gas and power is huge . it is broken it at 300 miles and 1st oil change is at 4,000 miles. check valves at 32,000 miles and is so easy.
just a thought on a bang for the buck choice as I am so glad i bought mine.
-- Good luck with whatever you choose , so many choices these days .

Yep, still have the Twin and love it!. The Z900RS is on my list of bikes to own, but not in the cards at present. I am taking a break from the retro scene and jumping on something modern.

All of the CB1100EXs in the U.S. are 2017 models so my guess is that you are trading your current CB1100 in for a 2017 CB1100EX!!!!! Big Grin
