Very sorry to hear about the accident , I know the Pocono's very well and hate to see all those deer in PA and NY. I have had many car /deer collisions but never on a bike.

ALL except yesterday....! Started out well in the morning, myself and longtime friend and riding partner were heading out for 250/300 mile loop to enjoy Pocono Mts region and possibly some hiking on Falls trails take in some sites.

Less than an hour into our journey, the unexpected that non us on two wheels wanna face ...sudden obstacles of tragic circumstances.
Large deer spooked out , jump into the road right in front of my brother Dave putting him down hard into an oncoming car!
Thankfully due to all necessary safety
gear and Angle's watching over Us...
he came out of it with just a broken ankle that'll take many months to recover from,
and I was horrified to watch this unfold following 2/3 seconds behind and able to avoid being tangled up with this myself.
Prayers for my good freind/ brother Dave and all my fellow bikers out and about this time of year enjoying Gods awesome creation and freedoms of the open road ...speedy recovery for Dave and
safe travels for all.

Ah crap. Sad to learn that happened to your brother KPSguy. Glad you are okay. May Dave recover well in all ways. His mind will need some help for a little while.

First post in a while.

Had some vehicle transitions, and for a while now I've been utilizing the CB as primary commuter. It's been good, but I'm looking forward to having two family cars again. When I'm at work, the only parking for my bike is in the elements, so I'm glad to be using it more recreationally now. Speaking of which, I've slowly built my riding community here in Maui, even though a few of my friends sold their bikes. Met this guy the other day and we went on a long ride on one of my favorite roads on island. Nice, old, KZ that's being featured in cafe racer magazine this month.

Chai is a morning thing for me

I run Avon Roadriders. I have had good experience with Avon tires on our roads in the past, so didn't think twice.
