Headlight High Beam Issues

Hi All,

I recently upgraded my headlight on a 2017 CB1100EX to:

While it initially works great, and still does it sometimes randomly turns on the high beam here and there, and stays on. As I'm not mechanically inclined I'm not sure what's going on, but could it be loose cable that maybe I just need to electrical tape, any thoughts/ideas on how to fix?

Additionally when the high beam turns on the dash signal does not go on. Not sure if that helps in the diagnostic.

Any help/thoughts would greatly be appreciated!

Wow, that is weird. I had some issues when I went from a normal bulb to an LED on my '13, and it turned out to be a defective bulb. But the '17 comes with an LED as standard, doesn't it?

Strange, from the pic, it looks like plug n play kit...no splicing ??

Possible or it could be as simple as poor contact somewhere.
Would like to see its instruction, doubt there is any detailed diagram for p n p..???

Could very well be the controller. It is the weakest link.

Also check those feeble connectors.

RE dash indicator: Could be a number of things, beginning with the controller and/or wiring.
