Low oil level

It wouldn't worry me. Had you lost pressure and ridden on then yes but this didn't happen. I haven't done enough mileage on my CB to talk from experience on that but I find my other bikes fresh oil goes quite dark very quickly as it mixes with residue oil, it doesn't take much. I would have zero concerns on anything you have mentioned.

Geez I change my oil and filter, put in the correct amount of oil and don't worry about it again until the next oil change...on all my bikes. I know how much oil I put in, it's not leaking it, it's not burning it so where's it going to go?

I'm like you, but I do occasionally look at the sight glass just to make sure my oil level is good. I change my oil and filter every 3,000 miles.

Most of the time I looked at the sight glass to inspect not the level, but the oil funkiness. That is, how amber, or black it was. Any white residue streaks in the oil, any foaming, etc.

Looking at the level is fickle at best. Is the ground level side to side/ front to back. Was the engine warmed up enough? Was it warmed up too much? Was it then allowed to drain long enough or drained too long? Is it the same for a 30 wt oil, a 40 weight oil? A dinosaur oil? A synthetic oil? Does it really make a difference to the motor if the sight glass is full? If the level is at upper level marked on the case? The lower level as marked in the case? Anywhere in between the levels marked on the case? How much would it have to be over or under filled to be detrimental to the motor?
Does anyone follow the instructions for checking oil level as described in the owners manual to the letter? Have to ever heard of an oil related motor failure on a modern motorcycle? Of course we'd all love to have the perfect oil level in the motor before every start up. Is that even possible? I think most oil related insecurities are self created.

Thank you guys for your help! I initially got a bit panicked.
I'm glad it wasn't anything serious, however, I realise, with my previous bikes I become a bit spoiled, and didn't pay enough attention to basic checks. Furthermore, I won't relay on RLETs any more, and at least check l oil level.

Strong the RLETs are. On the handlebars mounted they are. See the oil sight glass—they cannot.
