hoping to post some info that may be useful to someone. My 2013 had a broken RF turn signal when I bought it. I found that the signal for a vt1100 or vtx1800 is physically the same as mine but was half the price. the only difference is the vtx signal is a three wire instead of a two wire like the cb1100. I could have taken the time to change out the guts of the two signals but honestly its not worth the effort. the three wire works like it is and you can't tell the difference.

So, Casey, which 2 of the 3 wires did you connect?

Nice catch. That's a weird anomaly. The right front has a $105 retail price, but the left front is $59. Plugs in the same, wire length the same. Only difference is the color of one of the wires - blue instead of orange. Rears are also differently priced, though more closely priced at $56 and $48. Just weird.

Hi GO, my Chrome housing was intact , however, only the orange plastic lens tab was broken (where the screw holds the lens in position).
My friend also has a VTX1800 using the same flasher unit but I never got a chance to investigate.
I wonder about the lens pricing structure whether it follows the same principle of VTX/CB1100
Gooy find Casey66

The 3-wires are for the front with one wire used for “Running” light then the Other wire for turn signal and the last wire is for ground.
The rear signals unit should only have 2-wires (turn signal).
GO, ready for our next week ride ?

It’s funny, I was riding a VTX when the CB came out in ‘13, and one of the things that caught my eye was that they had the same turn signals.

A while back, I posted about HMC strategy of “Reusing” the same parts on different models bikes to cut down on develop (R&D) cost.
At the time the example was the twin chrome horn .

Ready!
Long range forecast suggests a nice, cool, possibly rainy days of ride.
