I hate that horn location above the turn signal. I rode a 700X DCT for a little while, never got used to the switches. Left it in auto/sport mode all the time.
If I had one, I'd look into switching the wires around and keep the horn at the bottom, and the downshift button above the turn signal. Only one thing to learn, the downshift.

The horn is at the bottom of switch on a DCT? I might not have to change out my switch on the DLX after all

Good night thats a lot of buttons, but it appears the grey horn button is in the middle, and the turn signal is near the bottom. Looks like I'm back to changing switches on the DLX. Think I'll wait the NC gets here first though lol

I have the horn button similarly higher on the Africa Twin too. (still not used to its position)
But, I do like the downshift button where it is.

Same layout as the NC700X and CTX700 DCT models. That left thumb is relied on for a variety of functions - horn, high/low beam, left/right turn, downshift, emergency flasher, and gripping the bars. Too bad one of the functions, say downshifting, couldn't be done by, say, the left foot pushing down on something.
Is everything in life to be controlled by our fingers? Maybe the entire left hand and right hand switches and levers and control should be replaced by pushing buttons on our phone. Perhaps the screen on the phone would have the image of where we were headed. Or better yet, "Alexa, downshift twice and apply brakes".

On the Africa Twin with DCT there is an option to control the gear shift by toe and the user will pay for it. There are a few owners who need the toe shift because it works best with them.
The finger shifters don't take long to learn.
The ol' Aprilia Mana 850 came with both toe and finger shifters.

Strangely (as I seem to be the exception), I have no problem at all with the turn signal location on the CB1100. My issue has more to do with the fact that it programs my brain to reach lower for it, and I end up honking for the first couple of minutes when I want to signal on my other bikes.

Was just going to begin a thread about this issue. After all my Hondas over the past 50 years ago, I get this curve thrown at me with the turn signal button where the horn SHOULD be. Can't count how many times I've gone for the horn and ended up pressing the signal button. Guess I'll just have to get used to the new configuration.
