Who's ordered / purchased the 2014 CB1100?
Well she's home with 13 miles on her. I put the thingies on it at the Dealer, before I left the house to pick it up I put a little vasoline on them and pushed em right on then I told the salesman and the young boys in the service dept now it is a CB.I am pretty sure they think im crazy. When I got home I removed the tank stickers, wacked off the rear reflectors with a cut off wheel you know the ends of the tag bracket, adjusted the mirrors and the shifter to the old man position-much better. It's a good thing you all know what the DLX looks like because I am a complete computer idiot but I will try to get some pics on when my kids teach meBiker

You can adjust the shifter position by loosening the two nuts on the rod and rotating it. Thats the service manual method FWIW.

I went from Toledo to Columbus on state routes and some freeway and was careful to vary engine speed as much as possible. So, I was dropping down to 4th gear to spool it up to 4k rpm then shifting to 6th to let it settle to almost 2k. Stopped a couple times and had to negotiate several small towns. The bike was very compliant and fun to ride.

Ridem32 - I'm basically in Columbus, Ohio. Spring came somewhat late but with a vengeance. Around here, you go from snow one week to mowing your lawn almost three times the next week.

This week will give me a couple chances to commute to work on the CB. I think the bike will excel at that and the variable RPM and speeds will accommodate break-in.

One thing I noticed is that my right side cover keeps coming loose. I can easily push it back but it pops out when the bike is at speed. Nothing big, just kinda odd.

Anyway, I gotta get to a parts dealer so I can join Ferret's "Royal Order of Rubber End Thingys"

DAC, pull the cover completely off and take a look at the rubber grommet the cover clips into. This same thing happened on some of the '13s too (mine included) -- the grommet gets pushed into its hole a bit and the side cover clip can't snug into it properly. Worth taking a look anyways.

On a rare occasion, something you purchase will exceed expectations; the value seeming even greater than the price. I picked up Deluxe 000232 from the dealer today. I just got back from my first ride and I'm actually giddy. I LOVE this motorcycle. Smoooth, nimble (transitioning from a Kawasaki Concours) and plenty of urge. All of the praise heaped on the CB in this forum turns out to be true. One major disappointment: Where's my "document bag"?

Was going to post a proof of possession image, but couldn't get the "insert image" to work. You all know what they look like anyway.

This was a weak attempt at humor, Ridem. I have my owners manual - which says there is a "document bag" attached to the underside of the seat. The attachment points are there, but apparently no one actually gets the bag. Sort of like you don't really get a tool kit.
