2014 CB1100 standard & sundry items
#1
Two years ago I had an overnight mini-stroke, which affected face muscles for about 10 days.

Three weeks ago, I think I had another overnight mini-stroke, which affected the lateral rectus muscle of my right eye. I am not debilitated, as my dad did well for 91 years with sight only in his left eye (doctor slipped with forceps, at his birth).

I did a 460 mile solo trip on the Extraterrestrial Highway on Friday and rode with a friend (Vrod) on a 420 mile ride, yesterday, to Cedar Breaks (10,300 feet elevation) and Zion National Park.

However, it is probably wise to discontinue riding. I called the Honda sales manager who handled the deal and he is interested in the bike, but I do not yet know at what price.

It was first put into service (out of the crate) Nov 7, 2017.

I now have 12,200 miles on it and a detailed service record (see bottom for excerpt). Plan to change oil and filter, next week after ride along Lake Mead on Monday.

New scrambler tires one month ago.

Zero issues...best bike I have ever owned (#17)...could not be happier.

SD,
Wish you all the best as health is concern and good luck in selling your bikes.
I know your decision is not easy but very wise...and we all hope that you will still input this Forum as you did so far
Thumbs Up

So sorry to hear that you’ve had to make this decision but I understand. I wish you all the best and will keep my ear to the ground for a buyer.

Dang, SportsterDoc. That's rotten news. I hope you sell the bike at a good price and that you also stick around on the forum.

A decision most of us will have to make someday; sorry yours came so soon.

Sad to see the other Sporster Sport guy hanging them up. I've got a blood pressure problem going right now myself. I've also got a pipe burn from July 6th that still hasn't healed. Old age, its better than the alternative.

Thanks, all, for the well wishes.

Dealer offered $5,000, which I will accept...I have enjoyed 12,200 miles and it should be about 12,500 miles by Tuesday (going along Lake Mead with friend on Monday).

Started riding on the street, March, 1963...happy for the 55 years and 17 bikes.
The CB1100 is the cream of the crop.

Happy to help with electrical diagnostics, but since Dave solved the IACV issue, there does not seem to be much to challenge the gray cells.
