Has anyone fitted additional front driving lights?

Suggestions for how and where and maybe some models?

Thanks

Easy! I have a pair of single LED units mounted to the front fender mounting screw locations on the forks, wires running up along the brake lines and going into the headlight bucket for power.

These happen to be Rigid brand “Ignite” lights but anything fairly small will mount there. I just used some aluminum spacers and longer screws at the fender mount tabs to mount the lights to.

For a UK supplier try http://www.bikevis.com/product/bikevis-c...ry-lights/

I had a pair of these on my Africa Twin and they did a great job.

On the CB1100 you can take the trigger for the relay (on bike ignition) to switch the relay. Two choices, one in the headlight and one in the left hand side panel. Try a Halfords relay http://www.halfords.com/motoring/tools/f...25462.html

No real need for a handlebar mounted on/off switch. See my (slightly long winded I'll admit) video here of me mounting some Aux lights on my CB1100EX crash bars. You can fit an isolating switch under the seat if you really need one.

I mounted Denali D.M. Tri-optic led with data dim function on my 2020 Triumph Speedmaster with yellow lenses . Best upgrade for better visibility I have done , a little pricey but worth the cost , well made .

If it helps, here's a few detailed pictures of my self-made mounts for my lights. I have an aluminum spacer coming off of the forward fender mounting screw location to put it out past the fork. There's an L-bracket at the end of the spacer, and the light mounts to that. Simple and effective, and has stayed put since I installed it.

The lights were originally on my last BMW, and I transferred them over to the CB when I bought it. The lights are black, and since they visually line up with the front tire in this location, an added benefit is that they sort of disappear against the black tire when you look at the bike from more than a few feet away.

Alain Lee may chime in… he has lots of added lights to his ‘17EX, both cameras and more… a real F35 cockpit… just no wings

Excellent pixs. I may just copy your method, thanks.
