Yesterday I accidentally bumped into the rear turn signal on my 14 Dlx and the lens popped off. I picked it up and it was obvious it was glued on. There were no mounting screws and some of the glue/ plastic was on both the lens and the lens cup. I looked at it for awhile and for the life of me can't figure out how they expect someone to replace a cracked lens or the ts bulb if it goes out.
Has anyone with a Dlx ever changed out the ts bulb and if so, how'd you do it?
Btw I just glued the lens back on.

Ferret, the parts fiche shows a screw. Sure your dealer didn't mess it up and just glue it back on?

Something like that would be my guess too.
My ts's are identical to yours and have a screw on the bottom.
Honda would never design the ts with a glued on lens.
Something most foul has been afoot!

Ok got home and checked it out. Nothing afoul, that's just how it's made. Removed the screw on opposite side turn signal and a whole assembly came out (which lets you get to the bulb). Lens is glued onto the assembly which is gray. When you order a new lens you get the whole assembly, with the new lens glued to it. Strange way to do something but that's the way it is.

The '17 signals have screw underneath as well, same design front/back. Sounds like at some point the screw was overtightened and stripped the housing.
Oh, per your discovery...nevermind : )
If I understand correctly, the screw was there, but it doesn't hold the lense on, rather it holds the assembly together?

That is correct pdedse. The screw is a long way from the lens and it's self tapping into the inner assembly. If you take one out you'll see what I am talking about.
If you blow up the parts diagram that popgun posted you will see an inner assembly that looks like it screws in, but it doesn't. It's actually kinda smooth with a gasket glued to it. The lens is glued to that inner assembly at the factory. I just knocked the lens off and was able to glue it back on.

Good to hear that it was as simple as that.
