Need a starter switch but none available

If their local warehouse doesn't have it, it is cross-shipped from the next closest warehouse if there are any in the country. If none in the country, it is backordered, awaiting overseas shipping/customs clearing/packaging.

For the most part, no one stocks any parts anymore - everything is ordered. If your local dealer or Partzilla or Bike Bandit can't get it, no one else can either.
The part on eBay is for a 2014 model, and both throttle cables are kinked and junk.
That part, number 35130-MGC-N21, is electrically the same, and would plug into your bike fine. It looks slightly different, and uses different throttle cables that may be a half an inch longer, but others on the forum (was it PowerDubs?) have swapped 2013-2014 right side switches.

If it were me, I'd order the 2014 switch, and use either 2013 or 2014 throttle cables. (The throttle tubes and throttle bodies are the same.) The switches' mounting pin location in the handlebar may be different, requiring drilling a hole in the bar.

Yes I'm starting to realize that. No one actually carries these parts. I just wish Honda at least had an ETA out there. Who knows when that part might be available.

I might talk with the dealer about trying to use the 2014 part from eBay. Like you said it should be almost the same as the 2013 and it does look like the cables can be ordered separately.

I think the ape hangers that were installed did have the original switches on them. But from what the dealer told me the modifications that were made to them to install them on the ape hangers damaged them in a way that made re-using them not possible.

It was a good idea though.

I actually ordered it from Partzilla but I'm skeptical they actually have it in stock.
