Nacho, you know, the headlight pulls out from the bottom and then lifts off the tab at the top. I’m sure you know that now though

Thanks M'Lord. Actually, that wasn't the problem. I know I didn't have to remove the headlight from the wiring connector, but I did and the three prongs that hold it into the connector were like they were welded in. Had been in there for a long, long time and that got me thinking about what else on this bike had never been moved since it was assembled. Most likely when a vehicle is built, it is assumed it will be operated soon and fairly regularly until it wears out, but a lot of these bikes have not. They are sitting on showroom floors or a clean garage of someone who doesn't ride them for seven or eight years and then some guy like me comes along and thinks he is getting a good deal on a "new" bike. Ordinarily that headlight would have been replaced long ago and those plugs would have been out and in a few times by now, so I have a good excuse to tinker around with it and get my money's worth out of it.
