My clever mate, noroomtomove, solved the problem of how far one has to go before puttering to a halt with what has become known as his first law of motion and fuel consumption. It's set out in [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11741]this thread and has stood me in very good stead on a number of occasions since. All it requires to work is the discipline to reset one of the trip meters whenever you fill up.I guess I'm a little heavier on the throttle, and my highway miles are very often high-revving. And thank you for the thread link, it's a solid pattern to keep one safe. However, as I do indeed reset every time I fill up, and have filled up on purpose at different mileages to compare the results (I fill up daily as I always ride at least 200km) I am confident to say that my E starts flashing quite early, at around 8.5-9l spent. I guess I could apply the same formula adjusted to the leftover fuel and multiply by 5, but to make things easy I have decided that I have a 200km range and plan my routes and fill-ups according to that number
