Help - Overfilled Oil, how to remove?

I took a turkey baster from my wife's tool drawer and attached with duct tape a foot or so (.333333 meters) of rubber tubing of about the right diameter. Wiggled it down the filler hole and sucked the extra out. Worked like a charm and wasn't messy at all. My wife might dispute that, though.
