If you've replaced the original meter assembly with a smaller aftermarket one, there may not be a good solution. Those universal "fit all bike" meters work best on simple singles and twins, primarily older ones.
Several others have done the same before with similar complaints, and we have been largely unable to provide much help, mostly because there is no comprehensive wiring diagram or instructions for them.
