New speed meter replacement - ACE_IRA_imp - 01-31-2025 Hi there.Just got my oem speed meeter replaced.Have engine pgm fault lights on.Got misfired on high revs as well.Should I bring it to honda garrage to call on new speed meeter? RE: New speed meeter replacement - pekingduck - 01-31-2025 If you've replaced the original meter assembly with a smaller aftermarket one, there may not be a good solution. Those universal "fit all bike" meters work best on simple singles and twins, primarily older ones. Several others have done the same before with similar complaints, and we have been largely unable to provide much help, mostly because there is no comprehensive wiring diagram or instructions for them. You can search our database for similar posts and they may help some. If you replaced with an oem meter assembly, let us know what year you have. RE: New speed meter replacement - Lord Popgun - 02-13-2025 Same OEM part—I would read out the fault code if I were you and then we can probably narrow the problem down.
