I had the same problem. I ended up removing the covers and selling them here on this forum. I chose to remove more so for cosmetic reasons,had replaced my mirrors with stock cb500x mirrors which are black and chrome inst. covers with the dark smoke fly screen looked out of place to me so i took them off. Im sure Dart will fix with an extended bracket to allow more clearance if its not too costly.
