removing black finish

I wouldn't bother, not worth the time or effort and if you mess it up no turning back. Just sell bike and buy another without the black if it bothers you that much

I have to agree. This is what I thought when I read the first post, but it's your bike to do with as you wish.
Unless you're very lucky and very skilled, I fear you may be heading down a path of deep regret.
Once you start there is no turning back so think of this very carefully before you do anything.

Good advice and I agree. I don't own a CB1100 yet but want to buy one. The local dealer has a 2014 black and I was thinking about buying it and removing the black. I will just keep looking for a red bike. Prefer the Deluxe.
