87 sounds too low for a modern performance engine and could definitely be a problem if you get some old or bad fuel.
My mechanic recommends 95 for the CB. Our 91 octane (without Ethanol) however has not caused any problems for me when I cant find it in the country.
A few cents more wont break the bank or the bike.
