In the product description it says it specifically is a replacement for Honda's OEM filter, p/n: 15410-MFJ-D01.

I've seen some derogatory online posts about the K&N 204 filters of late, so I'm going to change to this one and give it a try.

Dont be concerned with using hi flow have been fitting them in the workshop to dozens an d dozens of bikes for many years no issues Air filters appear to be of excellent quality; I understand their products are well-made but that said, I only use OEM oil filters in all my machines.
The air filter, I use HiFloFiltro in my F800GS, I figure I can look at it, examine the "clean" side of the airbox, if fine dust is accummulating, back to OEM. I noticed this using the K&N air filter with my CB1100 but I realized I had not used the sealing grease around the lip seal of the air box cover. Next time I check if fine dust is present on the interior of the airbox, back to OEM.
It's very hard to know what's going on in an oil filter or if the O-ring is sealing as expected.
