With the more modern materials and design / machining capability they have now.

i was surprised the stock plugs being efi weren't these to begin with my brother cbr600rr had oem iridium like these

When you said you tried 'these'- do you mean the iridium with the smaller tip but still standard square strap? Which would still be an improvement over the stock design- but apparently a 'middle ground'.

Or these DX from overseas with the smaller D shape and different metal?

Haven't installed them yet. I'm gathering a lot of different parts for all sorts of tests....and then will knock it out on the dyno over the course of a couple days.
