Did they say what the 'normal' plug was? Was it iridium- or was it a plain plug?
Here is a video from NGK themselves- again in another language but you can use the CC function and then hit settings and pick translate to english.
Things get interesting around 22:30
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHM16Gemc0w
At 36:03 they show 2.3% increased fuel economy for given test conditions.
Looking at that video- it appears these launched overseas for a scooter that luckily for us shares our same plug.

I'm not skeptical at all- because I've seen sparks move around on plugs even back in the '80's on dirtbikes from the 70's running off points.
And that's on new clean plugs... throw carbon / oil into the equation- much less air & fuel flow with compression...
So no surprise to me that a modern high voltage computer controlled ignition, combined with much better materials and machining- can use a much smaller plug area to develop a more consistent and accurate spark- along with a more open and accessible access to and travel from for fuel burn.
Get up to 9000 RPM or more...150 revs times a second...I'll take every missed spark...and better atomizing injectors if I can find them as well.
Much like how for well over a decade now the best sportbikes have had dual stage injectors- at high revs a set further away fires to give more time to mix with the air for better firing.
If you don't like his real world spark video comp- are you saying his dyno was BS as well?
NGK isn't some fly by night company... I'd assume they tested and can back up their charts...

Just ordered a set.
The pictures- although I only read english- appear to show claimed fuel access to the spark area- and increase in flame propagation once lit.
It also appears they show increased fuel economy and power output.
I'll leave it to others to test MPG- but I will be able to test power on my dyno.

NOTE- that they *look* very similar to these, other than the solid non removable terminal below- but if you look close- these still have the square style as opposed to the D shape-

The "marketing" format kinda reminds of years long ago when one chromium cassette tape manufacturer would butt heads against another chromium tape how their product produced 0.5 dB more headroom with 0.8% less distortion at a given input level and frequency across the audio spectrum.
Agreed- and actually quite comparable- in both cases would be easily not noticed by the common man without test equipment- yet also easily able to be tested and proved.
Nobody said it is earth shattering... but a gain is a gain. Depends on how much it matters to each individual.
Dremeling out the stock velocity stacks will give a MUCH bigger gain in power output- for MUCH less money...but MUCH more work to do.
As far as cheap mods go- best is bore the TB stacks, but not quick and easy.
As far as easy HP goes- a slip on muffler- but not cheap.
These plugs- if they work- are more of a 'already have everything else' type thing- unless you are a guy like Ferret that does a LOT of miles.
