2014 CB1100 ?

Hmmm. I wanted a CB and was hoping for a '14 in black. Oh well. If I missed it, I missed it. Had fun on this forum while it lasted.

Time to pick up an FZ1 or something I guess.

Yeah Dac, I feel the same way. I was planning to wait a while to buy it. That's why I wanted a '14 (in black). I already have one new bike and I need a little time to absorb the "impact".

I think the bottom line is we will probably not see a 2014 model year.
I frankly don't care. If anything, from a purely selfish point of view, I would rather not see a lot of these bikes sold because it increases the rarity of the bikes already in circulation. In other words, they may actually turn this bike into an "investment" or "collectible" rather than a "put a match to your money or chase your butt every year to keep up with new models" sort of bike.

Honda probably has found that there are a few people out in the two-wheel world who will buy a bike like this and they probably have enough out there now to meet that need. Smart company.

As far as accessories are concerned, folks who wanted to mess with their bike will not be deterred because there are lots of accessories for UJM's out there now. This bike in particular, has been in the world since 2007. Six years is enough time to get all the accessories for a bike anyone could want. If you want more than that you can go to a custom shop and they will make you anything you dream of.

So, I am happy with things the way they are. We are driving a brand new bike, a great motor and transmission, with all the electronic goodies that looks like it was pulled out of a time machine from 35 years ago. I love it, man. As Katee Sackhoff said on Cafe Racer the other night; "I'm goin' to make this bike my b.tch." Forever.

Just an FYI. 2010 was the first model year for the CB1100. The concept bike first appeared in 2007.

I can get a leftover '13 in cobalt blue. Apples/oranges? Dunno. There was a design preference and nostalgia angle with the CB. Really liked the look. The FZ is a well thought of standard - if there is such a thing - with a half faring.

While things don't look promising, it's not official yet; so I wouldn't be so quick to stick a fork in it.

(not that I think it's coming in 2014, but you can't be too sure)

Great news guys! Just got this message from my Canadian dealer!

Thank you for your email in regards to the CB1100. There will be a 2014 model in limited release. It will be a Navy Blue, nice colour. We are taking deposits for the 2014 to be released in the early spring. Last year we were sold out of our only two units before they hit the showroom floor. If you like, you can put a $1000 deposit on one to hold it for you until you return. I would recommend this if you are sure this is the bike for you.
