RE: LED turn signals

I recently installed one of these after replacing my turn signals with the Motogadget m-blaze pins. I had read through every LED thread in the forum, and ultimately decided to spend the extra money to do it right. I’d rather have the peace of mind, knowing that I won’t be stranded somewhere due to an electrical problem from an overheated resistor.

Are the LED signals noticeably much brighter? That's the only way I could justify this upgrade. I'd especially like the brighter running lights up front.

So with 4 new LEDs and the POSH unit, I'm assuming this would be somewhere around $140 bucks or so? I've spent that much money on a lot of dumber things!

The quality LED lights are much brighter even being smaller.

The stock Honda flasher unit will hyperflash if LED replacement lights are installed.

One can purchase a digital flasher made by Posh for the CB1100. Very easy install, no modification to the wiring harness. I bought the unit from Samurider, just under $100.

The replacement is slightly longer than the stock unit. No fear

Lift gas tank, locate original flasher on left front area under the tank. Disconnect the two electrical connections.

Remove unit, remove the rubber band that holds it in place. Install the rubber band on new flasher unit. Even though the new unit is longer it will fit, just make sure the wire running to the left and around is not trapped under the flasher. Reinstall the tank and you are done. No more hyperflash.

Enjoy!

Thanks to Elipten, my POSH digital flasher unit is on order. Found it at Webike Japan.

Next step - figure out which replacement LED bulbs to install in the OEM turn signal housings. I have some from Dynamic Motorrad in my KTM that are amazing--but they don't make versions that fit the CB1100.

I found [url=https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/Super-Bright-1156-BAY15S-LED-TaillightBlinker-Bulb_p_126.html]these at CyclopsAdventureSports. I love their Cyclops LED headlight in my KTM as well. But, no reviews of these on the website so they're an unknown.

Priority is 1) as bright as possible and 2) as clean of a plug-n-play install as possible.

Anybody have any recommendations or experience with specific LED bulbs that are plug-n-play in the 2017 EX OEM housing?

If someone finds a cheaper alternative I am all ears, as I still have my 2013 CB I would like to modify, but I drew a line at one.

I just bought a set of LED turn signals from COGNITO MOTO and they have an LED flash unit for about $50 I think it was. If anybody hasn’t had a chance check out some of the stuff this place sells. I was told when I bought these I wouldn’t need to replace the flasher,we’ll see.

But it seems there's alot more LED options out there. Im not spending 100$ on a flasher though. I literally just ordered 1 for my kawasaki and it was 6$

I have recently added the posh led relay. I also opted to add the motogadget pins for the front turn signals and motogadget disc for rears.

Good news...they do not hyperflash! Relay works great.

However, I do have a new issue.

Front pin leds, turn signals, hazards and running lights, GOOD.

Rear disc leds, turn and hazard good...NO running lights?

Now to figure out why? Anyone have similar issue and solutions?

The rear turn signals are not running lights 9n our bike, only the front turn signals are running lights.
