New Power Commander FC
#1
Hello,
anyone knows anything about the new Power Commander FC (EFC16040)?

In Italy, it will cost about 41% less than the classic Power Commander V (E16-040) and, apparently, do the same things.
Cool

Here's the info:

http://www.powercommander.com/powercomma..._pcfc.aspx

And here's the one for the CB:
http://www.powercommander.com/powercomma...rcommander V&notes=91,

It appears the major difference is that you cannot program it via PC, which also suggests you can't program it on the fly when doing dyno runs. However, if you have maps already, it could work. At $250 plus shipping (MSRP, actual prices from distributors may be lower), that's quite a savings over the standard unit.

PCFC seems to be capable to store up to 10 different maps uploaded by PC (against two of PCV).
The difference is that you can adjust carburation on the fly without a PC, simply tuning the knobs with a screwdriver.
I think the main different feature is that the PCFC unit does not work with any of the PCV accessories (SFM, ignition module, shifter, LCD).

This thing looks pretty cool. Price is more in line with what the market is demanding. An ECU reflash is about the same $$ or more, but will do a lot more. But if ya just want to do the air filter and slip-on, your $250 gets you optimization and peace of mind.

A dyno run after would be a good idea.

$250?

You can get a PC V from Motomummy.com for $269.
