My ABS Pulser on front and rear wheels were covered in rust. I carefully sanded at 500 grit and some fine steel wool.
My question is if I can put a thin clear coat of paint on these to keep from rusting again?
Hoping the actual sensor will still work with a coat of paint on them.
If you hit a small part of it with clear and a magnet still sticks to that spot, chances are it will be fine. That’s my semi-educated guess having done so with the ABS tone ring on a car.

Speed sensor is on the rear wheel, and if I'm correct, also serves as the rear ABS sensor. The sensor on the front is ABS. That's why I thought my '13 had "Rear only ABS" till I was set straight on it.

Hondalou. If you try this repair, can you please inform the forum if it works?

Thank you everyone. I'm going to remove it from the wheel, clean it up some more then apply a metallic or clear paint. Will test the magnet/sensor on it and will post results after I get everything back together again. May take another month or so, as I am rebuilding/painting the entire front end and replacing brake shoes, tires, fork seals, and cleaning up the electronic connections which had some corrosion in them from the Florida Gulf location.
