A rock cracked the silver housing on my front right turn signal and have a new one to replace it. Does anyone know the trick to pull the old turn signal off/ replace it with new? It looks to be threaded on but I haven't wanted to force it and risk breaking more. Any insights?

With the engine out.......... J/K. heres the abreviated scope of work: The turn signal is held in place by an Allen head screw. However, to reach this screw you would have to remove the headlight, disconnect the (2) turn signal pigtails located in the headlight housing, then remove the headlight housing. All this to reach the single turn signal screw. Contrary to what my illicit shop manual says, you don't have to disconnect all the electrical connectors located in the headlight housing, but you do need to remove them from the (2) wire holders to be able to position the housing to a spot where you can reach the turn signal screw. Now, if you need to know how to remove the headlight housing, we would need to start another thread.

To remove the headlight housing, you would need to remove the (2) stainless Allen bolts attaching the housing to the triangular aluminum bracket (there's 1 on each side). For the headlight, remove the (2) black screws which which attach the housing to the headlight. Caution with the following: don't try to force the headlight electrical connector from the headlight, it should come of easily if properly depressed, you will have to adjust your headlight beam. This is a good time to upgrade your headlight bulb also. I should have reversed the order, remove headlight first, then housing.

Good info! I'll be attempting to install the smaller Japanese front turn signals soon and this info helps.

It all sounds a lot more complicated than it really is. Once you get into it the procedure will seem straight forward.
Another member posted info about a site where SOME Honda installation instructions can be found:

This is the CB1100 page:

Look for the PDF link under "Headlight Case", that will give you a nice diagram of what you will encounter.
Honda engineering is good and they mold some reference marks on the headlight case, etc. to help you realign the headlight after you reassemble it.
